If a merchant wants to be a Payment Facilitator, can they use Maya Vault? How to become a PayFac with Vault if possible?
Yes, a Payment Facilitator (PayFac) can utilize Maya Vault. To use Maya Vault as a PayFac, you need to include the Payment Facilitator information in the metadata object when creating a payment. The required fields for PayFac metadata are: subMerchantRequestReferenceNumber, pf.smi, pf.smn, pf.mci, pf.mpc, and pf.mco. You can refer to Document 6 for detailed instructions on integrating Maya Checkout as a Payment Facilitator and Document 5 for using Maya Vault.

Hi @teppydemayo, in addition to Maya AI’s response, to enable PayFac in Maya Vault, you may contact your assigned Maya Relationship Manager to enable PayFac for your account. Once approved, you must include the sub-merchant details in all requests (Maya Vault endpoint examples: Create Payment, Create Customer Payment, Create Card of Customer, etc.).
The AI responded some of the required metadata, but we highly recommend your team to refer to the specific API specifications of each of the endpoints, as high-level refence, you may refer to this guide: Payment Facilitator Guide
