Causes of Error 2099

Please provide more details for error 2099

Hello @Ralphkatipunan,

Thanks for raising this!

Could you provide more details on when and where you encountered the error (e.g., which solution you’re using and at what step in the flow)? This will help us narrow down the cause more accurately and identify whether there are documentation gaps.

Based on the documentation (for P3: Payments Processing Platform Errors), error code 2099 typically indicates that the transaction was declined by the issuing bank. This means the decline is coming from the customer’s bank, rather than an issue within Maya’s system or the integration itself.

In such cases, we recommend:

  • Asking the customer to coordinate with their issuing bank for further clarification, or
  • Retrying the transaction using a different card or payment method
