Maya detects fraudulent transactions using its Fraud Protection feature, which evaluates customer information provided in the ‘buyer’ object during checkout or payment requests. To enable this, you must include the following required fields:
buyer.firstName(required)buyer.lastName(required)buyer.contact.email(required)buyer.billingAddress.countryCode(required if billing address is provided)buyer.shippingAddress.countryCode(required if shipping address is provided)
When Fraud Protection is enabled, Maya automatically performs validation using this data. Transactions may be declined based on Maya’s internal fraud rules and the issuing bank’s assessment. No additional API calls or manual checks are needed—just ensure complete and accurate buyer details are sent with every request.
