Based on this article: Voids and Refunds ?
We can issue refunds the day after the transaction date, starting after midnight or 12am (GMT+8).
Does this mean if we have a failed transaction but successful payment which needs a refund, we have to trigger or call the web hook API only starting midnight after the transaction? If we call it immediately after failure, does it mean the refund will not get processed unless we trigger it again after midnight after the transaction date? Just wanted to clarify on the timings. Thank you.
You must initiate the refund request only after 12:00 AM (GMT+8) of the day following the transaction date. Even if the transaction failed after a successful payment, the system will not process the refund until after this cut-off time. If you call the refund API before 12:00 AM (GMT+8) the next day, the request will fail with an error such as PY0072 - “Transaction cannot be processed. Cannot refund a transaction before cut off time”. You do not need to retry the request later — simply wait until after the cut-off time to make the refund call. The system enforces this rule regardless of when the failure was detected or when the API call is made.

From the docs, it looks like refunds can only be requested after midnight GMT+8 on the following day. I’d also check the API response directly, since Maya processes refund requests synchronously and webhooks are mainly for payment status updates.
