Maya Deposit Error, how to resolve this

The error code PY0016 indicates a system-level issue, such as a timeout or service unavailability, rather than a misconfiguration. To resolve this:

  1. Retry the transaction — This error is often transient. Attempt the deposit request again after a short delay.
  2. Verify transaction status — Use the GET /payments/v1/payment-rrns/{rrn} endpoint with your requestReferenceNumber to confirm whether the payment was processed successfully.
  3. Check sandbox health — Visit the Sandbox Health Page to ensure Maya’s services are operational.
  4. Escalate if unresolved — If the error persists after multiple retries, contact partner.support@maya.ph and provide:
    • The requestReferenceNumber
    • The exact timestamp of the error
    • A copy of the full API request and response

This is a server-side issue, and retrying with status verification is the most effective approach.
