Maya Vault in Google Pay?

Hi everyone,

I’m still new to Maya’s documentation, so I’m not sure if I’m navigating the guides correctly.

I noticed that the Maya Vault guide appears under the Google Pay section, but from what I’ve read so far, the Google Pay documentation mainly mentions checkout.

Does this mean Maya Vault is also supported or related to Google Pay flows, or is the guide placement mainly for organizational purposes?

Maya Vault is not related to or supported by Google Pay. The placement of the Maya Vault guide under the Google Pay section appears to be organizational or mislabeled in the documentation UI. Maya Vault is a standalone card tokenization solution designed to securely store card details for future payments via API endpoints such as ‘Create Customer Payment’ and ‘Save a Card Only’. Google Pay integration is not mentioned anywhere in the Maya Vault documentation. The Google Pay section in the documentation only refers to Maya Checkout, which is a separate hosted checkout solution. There is no technical integration between Maya Vault and Google Pay.

Hi @Dina! Thanks for the feedback on the docs. We’ll relay this with the team.

Regarding your question, Google Pay is a payment method under Maya Checkout. So development-wise, same API endpoint: Create Checkout.

On the customer’s perspective, when they are redirected to the Checkout page, there will be a Google Pay option; together with other payment methods and e-wallets.

Hello @Dina,

We really do appreciate your feedback, and thank you for calling this out. We agree that the previous structure may have caused some confusion. We’ve already applied a quick update to improve the documentation structure and make the navigation clearer.

You can now see Google Pay under Payment Methods. And for clarity, Google Pay is currently applicable for Maya Checkout only.

Thank you all for the clarification and for addressing the feedback so quickly. I’m actually more interested in subscription SaaS solution and just happened to notice the structure while browsing through the Maya Vault guides. Appreciate the update!
