The merchant has their payment processor/payment gateway on their app. They would like to be able to identify where the app is being used for. There is a unique identifier per outlet. How do they incorporate the unique identifier of the outlet to their reports? Thank you!
To incorporate a unique outlet identifier into your transaction reports, include the outlet’s unique ID in the merchant.metadata.refNo field when making API requests to Maya’s Payments Processing Platform. This field is optional but designed for merchant-specific tagging and reconciliation. By populating merchant.metadata.refNo with your outlet’s unique identifier for each transaction, you can easily filter and report on transactions by outlet in your backend systems. This approach ensures accurate tracking without requiring changes to your existing payment gateway architecture.
