Why is there two dashboards?

While reading your documentations, I noticed that we can use either the Maya Business Manager and the Maya Manager 1.0.

Why are there 2 dashboards? How will I know which one I should use? What’s the difference between the two?

There are two dashboards because Maya Business Manager is the newer, unified platform for production, while Maya Manager 1.0 is the legacy system that still supports sandbox testing and a broader range of solutions.

Here’s how to choose:

  • Use Maya Business Manager if you are:

    • Setting up in Production only.
    • Integrating Maya Checkout or Maya Plugins.
    • You do not need sandbox testing.
  • Use Maya Manager 1.0 if you are:

    • Testing in Sandbox (required before going live).
    • Integrating Maya Vault, Pay with Maya, or other solutions like Bills Payment or Mini Apps.
    • Generating API keys for any solution in a non-production environment.

Important notes:

  • Maya Business Manager does not support Sandbox. For sandbox testing, you must use Maya Manager 1.0.
  • API keys generated in one dashboard cannot be used in the other — they are environment- and solution-specific.
  • New partners are encouraged to use Maya Business Manager for production, but must still access Maya Manager 1.0 for sandbox testing and onboarding.

Hi @Cerie, this is a good question.
The Maya Manager 1.0 is the legacy dashboard, which is still being used today for setting up both Sandbox and Production for online payments (like Checkout, Vault, etc.) and transactions for Terminals. I’d also like to correct the AI’s response; the solutions like Bills Payment and MMA do not utilize this dashboard.

While the Maya Business Manager can support direct to Production integrations.

I understand that there are instances in which Maya’s Relationship Manager would require you to use the Maya Manager 1.0 for advanced integrations like Pay with Maya, Vault, and Checkout APIs.

Rest assured that we’re continuing to enhance our features to bridge these experiences. Please stay tuned for future improvements!

Hi @frances.kagahastian yeah! This is a bit confusing. If I’m integrating with Checkout, there’s two types of dashboards. It seems the legacy has more functionality. I hope this platform can be improved, so it won’t have duplicate and confusing functionalities.
